Its a cool truck with a nice patina style look to it. Truck is located in Bakersfield Ca. Additionally, clutch slave and master cylinders were replaced and brakes have been completely sorted. Lots and lots of work done over the last 2 years to get it back on the road. Yes, this pickup has which in my book as about as cool as it gets for a 48-year old Datsun two-door pickup. I bought it with the swap already done.
I don't know the total mileage of the truck either. A lot of times it takes a single model of car to capture the attention of the auto buying public, and in the case of the Datsuns, the 240Z was that car. Bucket seats have been recently recovered with black vinyl and cloth inserts, and new black carpet is well-fitting and clean. The 2000 was a legitimate stoplight sleeper and the mid-year 1967 version is rare and desirable with a better looking dash pre-1968 cars had a handsome steel dash with toggle switches and a short windshield. The brand name was not very long lived in the United States, as the brand really blossomed here in 1970s, and by the 1981, the parent company, Nissan, decided that it wanted to consolidate its branding efforts. I saw one for sale in Costa Rica a couple of years ago in what looked like original condition and it was about half this price, sans shipping, of course. The difference was pronounced, however.
It has a Kenwood Stereo. There are quite a few dents and dings, and some spots show light surface rust such as the scratch behind the passenger front wheel and the lower corner of the driver side door. To the uniformed, the Datsun roadsters the collective nick name for all models in the U. I don't know what vehicle the drivetrain came out of. The Gas gauge doesn't work and neither does the temp gauge I added one and it drives cool. New radial vintage white walls on original wheels with all 4 caps.

The lights all work as do the turn signals--they don't cancel themselves--you have to manually do it. Lots of interest in the truck from both younger and older generation. The Z was the epitome of sporty; fast and sleek, small but stylish.

Cab condition is excellent, and the nicely preserved dash is said to be original. Said to start easily and run very well, brakes, engine, differential and more have received attention. I encourage all bidders to come and see the truck in person. It is a California dry climate truck. Other than that, very solid. I've had this truck for a few years, just too many projects so something has to go. Truck has been sitting for a long time, I have no idea of the condition of the engine or transmission or anything.
This one has been restored inside and out and it looks great. Good glass throughout with 1 star chip in the windshield. The first thing I noticed is how perfect this example looks. They stuck their foot in the door, as they say, in the beginning of the push toward smaller cars and that opening just continued to grow wider and wider over the years. Where the 1600 had around 90 hp, the 2000 had 135 hp out of the box and more could be had with a factory tuning kit. Would make a great hot rod project, these trucks are getting harder and harder to find in this condition. Completely serviced with replaced items were needed. Pre purchase inspections welcomed and encouraged anytime prior to auction ending. I don't know the mileage of the parts.
