It has been a great truck with the only problem has been the valve cover gasket, the gasket also runs the wires to the injectors and glow plugs. A web search indicates this is a common problem and very dangerous depending on when the failure occurs. I've had every variation i think. I gave it more throttle and it shifted to 4th. We replaced it with a used one with not even 30000 miles on it yet. The check engine light did not come on. I eased up and it shifted back to 3rd, then normally into 4th. Be extra carefull when you are doing serious braking while under load. Both times replacing the over priced cps was the solution. This started happening again in Feb.
