Was a bit thicker feeling and didn't make that signature Movie Wrapper noise we are all so familiar with. Forgot way much of the story and remembered a lot of the high-points and jokes. Most of the film's jokes garner giggles, but the lines from this pair get guffaws. Dang thing worked on me -- funny bone and heart strings. Bruce Almighty is definitely one of those uplifting movies that gave me a feeling and determination to keep watching again at least once every 1-2 months. God has filing cabinets of all the things everyone's done wrong boy, I'd hate to see mine haha and he gives a few examples of Bruce's failures. Bruce has a life changing experience that changes him for the better. Bruce Willis reprises his signature role as police detective John McClane and does a fantastic job breathing new life into this now iconic character. After trying to persuade Bruce that it isn't easy, God gives Bruce the chance to try the job himself and bestows all his Supreme powers to him for 7 days. When Carrey pulls himself together and gives a true, honest performance, he does exceptionally well, as he's proven with 'Man on the Moon,' and When he goes overboard, he really goes overboard. Watching Bruce learn there are consequences to the things he does and ignores makes 'Bruce Almighty' a bit more charming. The scene in which Bruce leans over a golden ox is a really nice touch, as is the dog learning to use the toilet. His dreams of moving from light-interest news stories to the station anchorman are embarrassingly shattered when his rival Steve Carell is given the position instead.
